This aspect of Obatala called Abunteru or Oosa ojude or Oosa popo is a mysterious orisa, that has the power to transform things and object<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">s that comes in contact with it, it is such a feared orisa ,Abunteru has so many taboos some of which are the food used in the worship must be consumed that sane day and must not be allowed to get to the next day because, whosoever eats it the next day will fall sick and might leave the earth plane, no meat must be stuck to one&#8217;s teeth till next day, and no person with a tribal mark must worship it or come close to the shrine.<br \/>\nAbunteru is said to have come from ife and that&#8217;s why it is praised as Abunteru olufe ooni, Abunteru olufe oodaye, womuwomu, ogogorumorumo(Abunteru the king of Ife, Abunteru the king of the place where the earth began, destroying to create, Ogogorumorumo.)<br \/>\nThis orisa is worshipped in the day time and the chief priest must enter the shrine in complete nakedness ,whenever the priest enters and comes out the priest is transformed to become older than when he entered and it&#8217;s only after several hours after the worship that the priest comes back to his normal looks.<br \/>\nThis mysterious orisa must not be seen by a woman and it is said that Abunteru is the father of Ogboni society and so while the worship is on, it is members of Ogboni society that chants the Aro-Ogboni (chants of the Ogboni)<br \/>\nIn Ibadan the orisa is situated on a small rocky area and there seven steps to the shrine where the orisa is and at best some priests will be at the stair case while the chief priest enters the shrine naked, rituals and breaking of kolanut takes place on the staircase.
